• Our churchyards are situated in an upland location and as such are subject to sudden variations in weather conditions. Consequently, all persons should ensure that they are adequately prepared. Exercise caution in wet or icy conditions and avoid visiting in extreme weather.

• The churchyards date back to the 1200s, there are 4 distinct yards. The Old, Lower, New and Gellfield. The latter being the most recent.

• Due to the age and steep topography, access to individual graves cannot often be guaranteed. Consequently, it is recommended that routes to graves be researched in advance of visits. The Church Wardens or Sexton will be able to offer suitable advice.

• Avoid climbing or leaning on masonry or headstones/memorials as they may be unstable.
