Saturday 1st April, a team of volunteers set about removing and potting Roan saplings that have self seeded in the Old yard. These are to be donated to the local primary school, for the children to plant.

Using recycled mushroom crates (kindly provided by Julian from the Church Inn) to sieve leaf mulch that had naturally broken down and piled up against the wall, providing excellent potting compost for the saplings.
It is reported that there was an abundance of Beech nuts found in the soil.
The team have also cleared some of the memorial stones, removing settled mulch, bagging it for use as infill for graves in the New yard that have significant depressions due to settlement.
A young Hawthorn tree was also removed which uncovered an entrance to a vault.

The trio of gentleman, (Andy, Tim and Godfrey) had a productive afternoon.
