Born in Oldham in 1910, Section Leader of the Home Guard, 36th West Riding (Upper Agbrigg) Bn. Is listed on the Commonwealth War Graves website. He died at the age of 30 and is buried in our New Yard. He was the son of Harold and Mary Cliff, he attended Hulme Grammar School and it would seem went on to gain a BSc in London. He married Joan Elizabeth Cliff, of Uppermill and was the father of Susan Mary Cliff. He lived at Heather Bank in Grasscroft.

Our records also indicate the burial of Christopher Taylor Bradbury, who had a morning funeral was buried 0301/1947.

Joan Elizabeth Cliff nee Bradbury, was buried 16/09/1994 aged 85, and lived in Saddleworth.

The lettering has become somewhat faded but thankfully previously recorded.
