Walter (1100792) was a RAF Sergeant, Volunteer Reserve. Originally from Woodthorpe, Dobcross he died 18/08/1941 in Oxfordshire, whilst on active duty in a flying accident, aged 30. Listed on the CWG site, he was the son of Thomas Edgar and Audrey Georgina Sykes.

It would seem that the Headstone has fallen over at some point but recently turned around and is laying on top of the plot face up.

His father, Thomas Edgar of Dobcross was buried 03/05/1943 aged 62 and they were later joined by Audrey Georgina 18/10/1951 aged 67.
