Digitising the church records has involved a huge learning curve, but there is nothing more interesting that recording the street names or village at the time a person died. Some of the names are very familiar, others have been lost through time.
This site, sets out to consolidate what the community of Saddleworth knows, making information and knowledge easily accessible for everyone.

This is one of many archive sources that can help Saddleworth St Chad to publish better stories about the people buried in the yards, of which there are at least 20,000.
