This year 2026, 2 baskets were carried in the annual church procession. These were beautifully presented by the Ladies of Saddleworth Church Flower Guild.

These are an integral part of the marches and I feel are an important part of Church Legacy. Each basket was donated and these are very symbolic for the families and congregation. The meaning only becomes important when we learn their stories.
Although there are 3 baskets, in recent times only two are presented.
The first basket was presented to Saddleworth Church by the family of Mr Bill Bradshaw when he passed away. He was a choir member and organist.
The second one, in memory of his wife Dorothy, who was also in the choir and played the organ.
They were both active members of the church for many years.
The third one, was donated in memory of Gordon Kay when he passed away in 1995, he was a sides man and church warden.
They have been carried in all weathers; rain, wind, and snow.
